Beginner Class
Requisite: Students with no musical experience who want to learn violin, viola, or cello
Format: In this THREE week class, we will work out of Essential Elements Book 1. Students will learn how to play the instrument they choose, as well as learning to read notes and rhythms.

Violin/Viola Class I
Requisite: Students who have been playing for one year
Format: In this class, we will continue to learn the fundamentals of posture and technique, and note reading. This course will include basic ear training, rhythm exercises, and working out of Essential Elements Book 1. In addition, the students will have the opportunity to learn and play other fun pieces, which will be performed at the recital.

Violin/Viola Class II
Requisite: Students who have completed two years of playing the violin and are proficient at reading music.
Format: This class will work on posture and technique through practicing scales. In addition, we will work on sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, as well as violin music in two and three part harmonies.

Chamber Music Class
Requisite: This course is for students with four years of playing experience and have the ability to sight-read music.
Format: This course will focus on the fundamentals of playing in a chamber group. Students will sight-read chamber music, and will collectively choose the piece they wish to perform for the recital.
